Not with us. We teach our clients to flip clean titled cars that need minor work and post them for sale ASAP. Our goal is to buy a car from auction, put it online within 2-3 days maximum so that we can flip it in under 10 days. With IAA/Co-Part, they mainly have salvage titled project cars that will take 2-3 weeks to fix before putting them online. We’re in the flipping business. Not fixing/storage biz. Don’t believe all those “flipping videos” you see on Youtube that make salvage flips look so easy. We deal in the real world.
There is no insurance coverage with any of our programs. You will have to buy something called a “Non-Owned” or “Non-Owner” policy to cover yourself. If you don’t know where to go, we’ll point you to the right agency. On an average, you’ll pay around $30 per month…the premium depends on the coverage you choose and your driving history.
Right. We hear those types of “claims” all the time. Here’s what’ll happen. They’ll tell you you’ll get insurance but they’ll never actually ADD you to the policy. So, if a dealer licensing firm makes a claim that you’ll be covered, getting a copy of the insurance card isn’t enough. Call the insurance company they put you under and confirm with the insurance company you’re ADDED ON the policy. We’d rather be up-front about it and tell you no than pull one over you. Just not our style.

If you have a plate & non-owned policy, they can test drive on all major roads and highways. But, if you don’t have both of those items, your customers can test drive on closed roads or neighborhoods.
You can transport cars one of three ways:
1. Bring your own Tow Dolly and tow it.
2. Hire the auction to transport it back…they do this for a very reasonable price.3. There are TONS of transport companies at the auction who will bid to transport your cars for you.
Another claim we see made all the time. Think about this...would you give a stranger access to your credit card for $20,000 or $30,000? Ya, didn’t think so…So, why would a dealer let you use their line of credit at auction? Knowing they’d be on the “hook” for the car? Makes no sense. So, if someone claims that they will allow you to use their floor planning, you should really question what the heck they’re up to.
